CERTIFICATION OF COMPETITIVE ELIGIBILITY PROCESS
Step 1: Coaches submit a tentative roster to Heather Robertson no later than July 15th. A tentative roster will include any student-athlete, returning or new that is expected to be on the team for the up-coming academic year.
Step 2: The student-athlete must be approved by the medical/training services staff. This involves examinations, establishing proof of health insurance, and completing several required medical forms (blue packet).

Procedure for Student-Athletes Enrolling at Mid-Year
Step 1: Obtain mid-year enrollees from the Admissions Office.
When step one is complete please follow Steps 2-4 of the certification process for competitive eligibility.

Joining a Team after the Start of the Academic Year
Step 1: Coaches must place the student-athlete on their "active" roster. Student-Athletes may be added by using the VT Roster Update Form Joining a Team after the Start of the Academic Year
REMEMBER THAT ANYONE COMING OUT FOR YOUR TEAM MUST COMPLETE ALL FOUR STEPS BEFORE THEY START PRACTICE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO MONITOR LATE ADDITIONS TO YOUR TEAM.
