Introduction

Sports camps and clinics provide opportunities for residents of the community, state and region to take part in non-credit offerings in activities related to competitive sports. These camps and clinics allow individuals of designated ages to learn skills and strategies and engage in competitive experiences. The following sports are considered a part of the sports camp and clinic program at Virginia Tech:

The Virginia Tech Camps & Clinics Manual has been produced to assist those sports that choose to conduct camps and clinics. The program contained in this manual will help camp directors better understand current NCAA legislation, as well as ensure that their camps and clinics operate in compliance with NCAA regulations and Athletic Department policies and procedures.

  • financial administration;

Coaches having questions regarding the approval of a planned camp or clinic should direct those questions to their supervising Associate AD. Questions regarding the application of NCAA camp/clinic regulations should be directed to the Compliance Office. Questions regarding the financial administration of a camp or clinic should be directed to Lisa Rudd in the Business Office. Questions regarding the operation of a camp or clinic within Virginia Tech regulations should be directed to your sport's supervising Associate AD.
